An upgrade to the emergency power generation system was required for the entire Veteran’s Center in order to provide safe and reliable facilities for 196 live-in patients of the facility.  Martin Rogers designed replacements to the existing generator with appropriately sized generators to expand the capacity of the emergency system and fulfill the goals of the emergency management plan. In addition, the project is compliant with all applicable codes, and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs’ participation with the State Home Construction Grant Program. Also incorporated into the design were specific, construction-related requirements of the Infection Control Risk Assessment.
