MRA has provided MEP/FP design services for dozens of projects at Geisinger Wyoming Valley in the recent past; below is sampling of current projects.

NICU Addition – 7,200 SF addition to house their expanded NICUDepartment. The addition provides for ten new intensive care beds including Level 2 and Level 3 facilities, Isolation Room, Continuing Care, Family Stay Facilities, and Nursing and Support Staff space.

Maternity Services Relocation and Renovation – included 15 new post delivery obstetrics rooms, relocation of the existing nursery, and elevator connector to new NICU Addition, for a total of 17,000 SF of upgraded program space.

Angiography Suite – 5,500 SF renovation as Phase 1 of GWVs Radiology Suite expansion; includes single and bi-plane angio rooms, pre op and post recovery area, and office and support facilities.

Radiology Expansion and Renovation – Phase 2 of GWVs Radiology Suite expansion includes the complete renovation of 21,000 SF of program space to accommodate two nuclear cameras, three CTs, an ultrasound suite, Nuclear Medicine suite with Hot Lab, Spect CT / nuclear camera, RAD Room, Chest Room, high capacity Reading Room, and associated office and support space.

Womens Center Relocation / PET CT Suite – fit-out of 5,600 SF of shell space in the Henry Cancer Center for outpatient mammography, biopsy, ultrasound, and associated support functions; project incorporates a new PETCT suite with pre-testing Holding rooms, hot lab, injection room, and associated control and support spaces.

State-of-the art combined cardiac catheterization lab / cardiac OR utilizing a Philips Allura FD20 Interventional Cardiovascular Unit

Endoscopy Suite Relocation and Expansion – 10,000 SF renovation converting previous OR suite into current technology 6 room endoscopy suite with all associated pre-op and post recovery facilities typical support functions.

Geisinger Northeast Masterplan – MEP / FP facilities infrastructure assessment for future growth and expansion of the Geisinger Wyoming Valley and South Wilkes Barre Campuses.

Henry Cancer Center Addition and Linear Accelerator Replacement – included the replacement of one existing linear accelerator and the construction of a new 35,000 SF three story LEED certified addition to accommodate their growing program. The expansion includes a new patient pharmacy, exam and office space, private infusion rooms, twenty infusion bays, and various support spaces. The facility was designed for future vertical expansion to accommodate anticipated growth and expansion of services.
