Geisinger Wyoming Valley

Henry Cancer Center Renovation and Expansion

Martin Rogers has provided mechanical and electrical engineering services for the renovation and expansion of the Henry Cancer Center at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center. 

In early 2021,construction began on a 40,000 SF renovation and 85,000 SF four story addition to accommodate their growing program. The expansion includes 60 exam rooms, 55 office spaces,  56 infusion bays, a new USP 800 pharmacy, and various support spaces.  The expansion also included 18 inpatient Oncology ICU rooms. LEED design efforts led to provisions for local lighting control for 90% or more of the building occupants, 30% reduction in water usage, and use of LED energy efficient lighting fixtures.  The mechanical system in the renovation was water source heat pumps and energy recovery equipment.  The expansion mechanical design included air handling units with economizer and downstream VAV’s with hot water reheat.

Lehigh Valley Health Network

Department Of Education – Sierra Circle

Martin Rogers Engineering Consultants were the MEP/FP engineers for a 70,000sf education and training facility for the Lehigh Valley Health Network in Center Valley, Pennsylvania. 

Project included eleven (11) Computer Rooms, seven (7) Classrooms, Auditorium, Conference Center, and multiple Conference Rooms. Multiple training Exam Rooms, training Operating Room, and a training Surgical Procedure Room were also included in the design. Martin Rogers designed the HVAC, exhaust, sanitary & vent, domestic hot and cold water, electrical power, interior lighting, emergency lighting, exterior lighting exits signs, communications, CATV, Security and fire alarm.

Penn State Scranton Campus

Engineering Building

MRA provided MEP/FP design services for the renovation of a vacant warehouse distribution facility in Scranton into the College of Engineering School. Engineering labs, classrooms, meeting rooms, offices and campus police services.

HVAC consisted of two variable volume air handling units with DX cooling and natural gas heating. The building was equipped throughout with a fully automatic fire sprinkler system. Electrical design included a new electrical distribution system, lighting, security, fire alarm, and infrastructure for IT.

Johnson College

Ideal Saldi Hall – New Gateway Building

Martin Rogers participated as the mechanical / electrical / plumbing / fire protection consultant for the construction of a two story approximately 21,000 square feet gateway building for Johnson College. 

The new building will include laboratories, classrooms, and offices. The scope included HVAC systems, electrical service and distribution, plumbing fixtures, sprinkler system, lighting and controls, sound systems, voice / data systems, and fire alarm.

Bloomsburg University

Arts and Administration Building

Martin Rogers provided mechanical and electrical engineering design services for the Arts and Administration Building on the Bloomsburg University campus. The project is consisted of new multi-use building that provides academic, student support, and administrative space. 

The project included current classroom technology infrastructure and specialized curriculum space to accommodate various art programs including photography, computer graphics, sculpture, poetry, painting, framing, printing, welding, and lithography.
